Family Fun Art In The Community

Fostering a love of nature and art, we will go outdoors to some of our local and surrounding parks & beaches to appreciate and experience nature while learning some natural art techniques!

Each student will receive a mini art kit and a nature/art journal. There will be time to explore each location and gather some natural materials, solo art journaling time, both art and writing journaling prompts will be provided, circle discussions on our findings and sharing journal art, healthy snack time (preferable fruits and veggies, trail mix, etc.), and a group nature art activity. Find and make a pet rock, use leaves to make painting prints, learn how to make a wildflower crown, art/nature based scavenger hunts and more!

Parents/families must stay and accompany their children at these sites as we will be in the community and not at the studio.

Parents are asked to bring sunscreen, bug spray, water/drinks, and any inhalers or epi-pens their children may need. It is recommended that students wear closed toe shoes and appropriate clothing for hiking. Please keep in mind you are responsible for the safety of you child as we will be outdoors in the summer in the south. Parents, please be aware of wild animals and insects, as well as poisonous plants- such as poison ivy, for the safety of your child. Instructor will have a basic first aide kit on hand in case of emergency.
