Where Can I Get Art Classes for Beginners in Myrtle Beach?

3 min read

Here's the secret nobody tells you about art classes: you don't need to know how to draw. At all. Not a stick figure, not a straight line, not "what color goes with what."

Studio 4319 offers art classes for beginners in Myrtle Beach — no talent required, no experience needed, just a kid (or grown-up) who's ready to make something. Every class is built for people who've never picked up a paintbrush, and all supplies are included.

Brand-New to Art? You're in the Right Place

If you've ever said "I'm just not creative," we'd gently disagree. Creativity grows through connection — and most of the time it's a space that feels safe to try.

That's what we've built here:

  • Zero experience required — everyone starts somewhere, and beginners are who we love best

  • All supplies included — you show up, we handle the mess (and the setup and cleanup!)

  • No pressure, no perfection — the goal is confidence and joy, not a gallery-ready masterpiece

  • Small, welcoming groups — so every beginner gets real attention

  • Hands-on projects across painting, collage, sculpture, and mixed media, so you get to explore and find what you love

Our Monday & Friday Mixed Elementary Classes (We Have Room!)

Looking for a first art class for your elementary-aged kiddo? Our Mixed Elementary classes are the perfect starting point — and good news, we have open spots on both Mondays and Fridays.

"Mixed" means just that: a mix of ages and skill levels creating side by side. Brand-new beginners and kids who've been painting for years all work together, which means no one feels behind and everyone feels inspired.

Why kids love it (hint: it's not like school art). There's no whole-class project where everyone makes the same thing at the same time.

Here, kids explore whatever creative outlet they're drawn to, at their own pace:

  • Choose your own adventure — not everyone works with the same materials. Kids can all try the same thing if they want to, but they don't have to. Painting, collage, resin, mixed media: it's their call.

  • Go at your own speed — no rushing to finish before the bell rings.

  • Projects carry over — a work in progress can pick up right where it left off next week, so big ideas get the time they deserve.

🗓️ Schedule & Tuition

  • Monday Mixed Elementary — 4:00 - 5:30 pm

  • Friday Mixed Elementary —  4:00 - 5:30 pm

  • Tuition: $150/month or $40 drop-in (as space allows)

  • ✨ Quarterly and full-year pricing available upon request.

Each session is open-ended and age-appropriate, fun first and skill-building second (they'll learn plenty. They'll just be too busy having fun to notice).

What a First Class Actually Looks Like

Walk in, grab a seat, and we'll get you started. No experience, no intro speech about color theory. You'll have real materials, a few project ideas, and the freedom to make it your own. Want to follow an idea exactly? Great. Want to take it somewhere totally different? Even better.

By the end, most kids walk out with something they're proud of (or something they're excited to keep working on next week), a little paint somewhere unexpected, and a very good chance they'll ask when they get to come back.

Other Ways to Start

Not sure a weekly class is the right fit yet? We've got other beginner-friendly options too:

  • Private lessons — one-on-one time built around your kid's interests and pace

  • Small group & family sessions — bring a few friends or the whole family and create together

  • Tween Evening Art — our Wednesday class for 5th–7th graders (ages 10–13)

All completely customizable — message us and we'll help you find the right fit.
